Alexander Davis (he/him) is a New York City-based bassoonist who has been known for his ability to play “with poise and élan”- Cleveland Classical. He is a musician whose artistic intentions center on space-making, connection, and community-building within classical music. Read more
Darius Jones has created a recognizable voice as a critically acclaimed saxophonist and composer by embracing individuality and innovation in the tradition of Black music. Jones has been awarded the Van Lier Fellowship, Jerome Foundation Artist-in-Residence and commission, Western Front residency and commission, French-American Jazz Exchange Award, Robert D. Bielecki Foundation Award, and Fromm Music Foundation commission from Harvard University. Read more
Erin Rogers is a Canadian-American saxophonist, composer, and improviser dedicated to new and experimental music. Her “decidedly future-oriented” music has been described as “whimsical, theatrical” (Brooklyn Vegan), “radical and refreshing” (Vital Weekly) and “a richly expressive display of stentorian brilliance” (The Wire Magazine). Trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Jonathan Finlayson was born and raised in Oakland, California. As a unique voice in the New York Creative Music Community, Finalyson went on to perform and record in a variety of ensembles led by Muhal Richard Abrams, Henry Threadgill, Craig Harris, Ravi Coltrane, Mary Halvorson, Steve Lehman, Vijay Iyer and Craig Taborn among others. Clarinetist Emmalie Tello is committed to creating art that integrates storytelling into sound and explores the emotional narratives inherent in music. She has a passion for collaborative projects and has been heard as a chamber musician and soloist at Carnegie Hall, MATA festival, Long Play Festival, Hear Now Festival, the Banff Centre, and the Bulgarian Consulate, among others.
