ABOUT THIS CONCERT: Remote Collaborations

The International Contemporary Ensemble continues its explorations with pioneers in the field of remote, virtual collaboration: Nicole Mitchell, Ione, Pauline Oliveros, and Nathan Davis. Members of the Ensemble will discuss and perform live interpretations of remote, co-located interwoven archival recordings and live electronics. The program examines the non-site of internet-connected digital collaboration as its own medium for generative sound expression. The 40-minute performance and commentary will be followed by a Q+A with the artists in a Zoom Video Conference.
