ABOUT THIS CONCERT:
Alice Teyssier (soprano, flute), Nuiko Wadden (harp), and Dan Lippel (guitar) will present a program of music by Nicole Mitchell, Anna Thorvalsdottir, and Mikel Kuehn in new studio recordings and archived performance videos. Instrument specific movements will be drawn from Nicole Mitchell's modular work Inescapable Spiral, alongside Thorvaldsdottir's enveloping Rain for soprano, flute, guitar and electronics (with Teyssier doubling on flute and voice), and Mikel Kuehn's thorny Entanglements, written for Wadden and Lippel as part of the International Contemporary Ensemble's Mostly Mozart Micro Commissions initiative with Lincoln Center in 2016.
