ABOUT THIS CONCERT: Broad Statements Reflection

Wendy Richman (founding violist of the International Contemporary Ensemble) and the Rhythm Method Quartet (Meaghan Burke, Leah Asher, and Marina Kifferstein) discuss their most recent program of new works: Broad Statements. Filmed on March 12th, 2020, the program was one of the final in-person events prior to the lockdown in NYC due to COVID-19. The Broad Statements program features an eclectic sequence of solo artists, new works for string quartets, and generative sound practices. Asher, Kifferstein, Richman, and Burke will discuss their initiative and broadcast audio-video recordings in a 60-minute live-stream followed by a Q+A with the artists in a Zoom Video Conference.
