OpenICE Library Festival | Deep Listening Session

  • New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Vincent Astor Gallery Amsterdam Avenue entrance New York, NY United States (map)

Pauline Oliveros's life as a composer, performer, and humanitarian was about opening her own and others' sensibilities to the universe and facets of sounds. Her “sonic mediations” invite us to understand ourselves and our world more deeply. Join us for an afternoon of “deep listening,” with historic recordings of Pauline Oliveros guiding her signature sonic meditations, along with in-person meditations, led by members of the International Contemporary Ensemble.
