JAMIE LEIDWINGER, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Jamie Leidwinger is thrilled to join the International Contemporary Ensemble as their Executive Assistant. Her longstanding passion for community engagement has led her to working with the Ojai Music Festival as an Assistant Producer for the 2018 festival (featuring Patricia Kopatchinskaja) as well as Marketing/PR for the 2017 festival (featuring Vijay Iyer); Q2 Music (now NewSounds) as a freelance contributor; the Artistic Director of Symphony Space; the Shriver Hall Concert Series as a Junior Board Member; music-theatre ensemble HOWL; and now ICE.
Jamie is a composer and chamber vocalist whose works have been performed across the US and internationally. She has worked with performers including Jacob Rhodebeck, Relache, the JACK Quartet, mezzo-soprano Jennifer Beattie and cellist Kevin McFarland, and has participated in masterclasses with Andrea Clearfield, Christopher Cerrone, Kerrith Livengood and Jim Mobberley. Upcoming projects include a commission from Houston Grand Opera’s HGO Studio for soprano Dorothy Gal and pianist Blair Salter, and a podcast on the intersections of music and place featuring interviews with Peter Sellars, Marin Alsop, Alex Ross, and more.

Jamie holds a MM in Composition from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins and a BA in Music with a minor in Political Science from Dickinson College. Her teachers include Du Yun, Amy Beth Kirsten, Douglas Buchanan, David Smooke, and Robert Pound.
