​Members of the International Contemporary Ensemble will work with festival composers to premiere 9 new compositions, as well as perform three Artist Residency Showcase concerts which will be free, open to the public, and feature works developed for and with members of the Ensemble, including Nicole Mitchell's Inescapable Spiral

Connecticut Summerfest brings together talented emerging composers with some of the country's most inventive chamber music ensembles for a week-long festival of artistic exchange culminating in nine world premieres. The festival provides the Greater Hartford community with contemporary music concerts of the highest caliber through a nightly concert series featuring three ensembles-in-residence and brand-new pieces written by festival composition students.
