CHE-LING HSU, Project Coordinator

Che-Ling is a Taiwanese pianist, flutist, and teaching artist based in New York City. She holds a master's degree in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship from the New School, where she received the 2024 Arts Management and Entrepreneurship Capstone Award. She also earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from Taipei National University of the Arts. In 2015, she was selected as an exchange student at the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland.

Specializing in piano, Che-Ling has studied with distinguished mentors such as Yi-Hui Chou, Yang Siao-Ru, Yea-Shiuh Lin, Nai-Ching Yeh, Tzu-Yu Guo, Jussi Siirala, and Mei-Ling Wang. She has also participated in master classes with internationally recognized musicians including Mati Mikalai, Toms Ostrovskis, Maria Yefimova, and Mark Markham. Her accomplishments have been recognized with multiple scholarships, including from the Yamaha Music Foundation of Taiwan and the Special Education Student Scholarship from Taiwan Ministry of Education.

After completing her studies, Che-Ling deepened her focus on chamber music and piano collaboration while actively contributing to music and arts education in her community. Her professional experience includes roles such as Director of Academic Affairs, Head of Curriculum, and full-time music teacher at Pingtung County Lu Shing Senior High School. She also led the Senior High School Actualization Program and was instrumental in designing new middle and high school curricula at Pingtung County Lu Shing Senior High School.

In addition to her educational roles, Che-Ling has served as an instructor at the arts and humanities teaching camp for Taoyuan County Jieshou Junior High School and as a piano rehearsal accompanist for the Pingtung Chamber Choir. She is also the co-founder of the Do Music Education Center in Pingtung, Taiwan. Previously, she interned with the International Contemporary Ensemble, where she currently contributes as a project coordinator.
