New Music Virtual Town Hall Meeting: Anti-Racist Practices & Processes

Screen Shot 2020-11-19 at 7.29.42 PM.png

This December's Town Hall will be an opportunity for organizations, groups, and individuals to share their processes of developing and implementing anti-racist practices. Some guiding inquiries will be: What anti-racist policies are being put in place in organizations and music ensembles? What is the follow through on this work regarding hiring practices, artistic and board leadership, funding, and artistic programming? How do we hold each other accountable?

We have some very special guests joining the call to share in the conversation: Eleanor Savage (Program Director, The Jerome Foundation), Lisa Funderburke Hoffman (Executive Director, Alliance of Artists Communities), and members of the New Music Equity Action Coalition. We'll leave time for a community conversation and we look forward to hearing your questions and ideas. RSVP above to receive Zoom link in the morning of December 7th. If you have an idea or question you’d like to make sure gets addressed at this Town Hall, please email Bridgid Bergin (Production and Communications Manager) at bridgid@iceorg.org.

We’ve also compiled anti-racist and anti-oppression resources for our community to share here. Please feel free to add to it!
