Patricia Alessandrini

Patricia Alessandrini’s energetic, improvisatory works feature innovative uses of live electronics and interactive situations involving video and other media. Her compositions have been performed by several leading European ensembles, including Ensemble InterContemporain and New Millennium, in festivals including Agora, Festival en tiempo real, and Musica Strasbourg. She studied composition and electronics at the Conservatorio di Bologna, the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, and IRCAM, and holds a PhD from Princeton University. In 2008 she was granted a “Studentship” in Sonic Arts at SARC. She currently teaches Computer Music at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese.
