Long relegated to a background role in the orchestra, the bassoon becomes a unique and versatile solo instrument in the hands of superstar bassoonist Rebekah Heller. This show presents new works for solo bassoon and bassoon with electronics by Edgar Guzmán, Marcelo Toledo, Dai Fujikura, and ICElab composers Nathan Davis and Marcos Balter.
ICElab receives leading support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, alongside generous funding from the Greenwall Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
