Tony Arnold, Soprano

The acclaimed new music series from Columbia University’s Miller Theatre returns to the Gardner with a program featuring Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho. Evocative and otherwordly, Saariaho’s soundscapes are rich in textural and timbral detail. International Contemporary Ensemble presents its “sizzling account” (The New York Times) of this unique music, which earned rave reviews and enthusiastic ovations in New York.
